Job Responsibilities
As a Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing treatment, tests, client education, and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assessing and revising the Physical Therapy - PT care plan, and participating with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
- Delivering patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Current licensure or certification in the state of New Jersey.
- Graduation from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
- Two years of appropriate experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
- At least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.
- A calm and reassuring presence, active listening skills, excellent assessment skills, and strong written and verbal communication.
