About the Job Description
The per diem Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for delivering home health visits to clients in Howard and Carroll Counties, Maryland. The ideal candidate will possess a current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Maryland, along with a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
The successful candidate will have solid computer skills and prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR). A background in home care is desirable but not required. As a per diem SLP, you will work independently, but also as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with clinicians to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Responsibilities:
- Provide home health visits to clients in designated areas.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, collaborating with healthcare professionals as needed.
- Educate patients, family members, or other representatives on rehabilitative care and activities necessary for independent living.
- Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management.
