Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Interventional Cardiologist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with heart conditions, performing catheter-based procedures, and providing comprehensive care for both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the cardiology team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including coronary angiograms, angioplasty, stent placement, and atherectomy.
- Assess patients' cardiovascular health by conducting physical exams, reviewing medical histories, and ordering diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Manage and treat patients with conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including surgeons, nurses, and other specialists to deliver coordinated care.
- Provide patient education on cardiovascular disease prevention, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Interpret diagnostic test results and develop treatment plans.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency interventions as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest research, technology, and techniques in interventional cardiology.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology.
- Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.
- Current state medical license and board certification.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient-focused care approach with a dedication to providing the highest standard of medical services.
