Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Interventional Tech serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team, assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in scrubbing for procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and pacemaker implants
- Monitor patients using hemodynamic systems and document procedures
- Be on call for emergent procedures
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must meet one of the following:
- Technical or associate's degree in radiology with ARRT certification and one year of experience in a cath lab, interventional radiology, or electrophysiology
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy with RRT certification, active NBRC credential, and one year of experience in a cath lab, interventional radiology, or electrophysiology
- Graduate of a cardiovascular technology program or degree with no experience
- Three years of experience in a cath lab, interventional radiology, or electrophysiology in lieu of education
- RCIS and/or RCES certification and one year of experience in a cath lab, interventional radiology, or electrophysiology in lieu of education
Requirements
- Active BLS and ACLS certification from the Red Cross, American Heart Association, or military
Facility Information
Located at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, Cardiac Cath Lab-NBH, this position is full-time, exempt, with occasional weekend work and on-call responsibilities.
