Responsibilities:
- Performs all diagnostic testing and quality controls
- Prepares reagents
- Reports results according to established policies and procedures
- Performs moderate to high complexity testing
- Uses cand maintains computer applications appropriate to the position
- Maintains equipment and supplies
- Assists with training and orientation of testing personnel
- Evaluates competencies
- Works independently and in a team
- Demonstrates organizational, time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills
- Uses and understands medical terminology
- Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
- Administrative and clerical skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position
- Performs other duties as assigned
Certification & Licensure:
- Required - State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
- Preferred - ASCP certified
Education:
- Required - Associate’s
- Preferred - Bachelor’s
Experience:
- Required - 2 years laboratory related
