Director Surgical Services Summary:
- Participates in planning, policy development and priority setting.
- Ensures that surgical services and other assigned clinical areas have policies that are consistent with the overall goals of the health system.
- Ensures compliance in the provision of care to quality and safety standards.
- Maintains a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO) and established national standards of care.
- Collaborates with other directors, administrators, medical staff and other departments to provide and maintain optimal services in a cost effective manner.
- Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Required - Bachelors - Nursing; Or - Bachelors - Related Field;
- Preferred - Masters - Nursing;
- Preferred - Masters - Related Field
Credentials:
- Required - RN (Registered Nurse);
- Preferred - CNOR (Surgical);
- Preferred - Nurse Specialist Registered Nurse
Required Experience:
- Management - Minimum 5 years of formal leadership experience (Manager level or above)
