BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking FEMA Project COPE - Crisis Counselor II to join our outstanding and compassionate team in Hernando County!

- Shift Hours: M - F hours Vary
- Weekend Work: Occasional
- On Call: No
The FEMA Project COPE - Crisis Counselor II is responsible for:
- Working with individuals, families and groups to provide outreach, emotional support, individual and group crisis interventions, public education, and linkage to needed referrals.
- Representing the program in the community and networks with other agencies and partners to ensure the needs of the survivors are met.
- Providing presentation to community groups on disaster reactions, coping skills and stress management.
- Travel is required throughout the assigned county. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the federal rate.
Experience:
- 1 year of substance use and/or behavioral health preferred.
Required Certification/License:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) within 60 days
- Driver's License
Required Education:
- Bachelors degree in human services or related field.
