Location: St Joseph's Main and Children's
Status: PRN, Exempt: No
Shift Hours: 2:00 AM - 6:00 AM
Weekend Work: Every
On Call: No
Responsibilities - Lab Medical Asst II:
- Responsible for collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.
- Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens, referring specimens to outside laboratories, interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests, performance of phlebotomy procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Credentials:
- Essential - Driver's License
- Required - 6 months - Phlebotomy
- Or, 6 months - Laboratory Related
- Or, 6 months - Related Field
Education:
- Required - High School or Equivalent
- Or, Bachelors in related field in lieu of experience
