What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Tech - Urgent Care position at BayCare?
BayCare is currently in search of our newest Radiology Tech who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Position Details:
- Location: New Tampa, Carrollwood, Clearwater, and St Pete
- Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
- Twelve (12) hour shift 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday (or until the last patient leaves) with two days on, then two days off rotation.
- This will include every other weekend (Weekend Differential may apply)

The Radiology Tech is responsible for the following:
- Assists physicians with triage, patient examination, procedures, treatments, and x-ray/imaging services.
- Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.
- Create and maintain patient charts.
- File charts and reports.
- Position may require travel to other sites depending on patient volume and clinic needs.
- Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
- This position supports urgent care offices with x-ray equipment.
Required Certification or Licensure includes ARRT, BLS, and Florida CRT (within 6 months of hire).
Required Certification and Licensure:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire;
- ARRT and
- Florida CRT (within 6 months of hire)
Education:
- Required High School or Equivalent;
- Required Associates - Radiology or
- Technical - Radiology
