BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Residential Advocate to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Northside Behavioral Health!

- Status: PRN, Hourly
- Shift Hours: PRN
- Weekend Work: Occasional
- On Call: No
Residential Advocate Responsibilities:
- Monitors self-administration of medications and reconciles medication.
- Completes admission documents, living skills assessment treatment plans/updates, monthly progress notes, activity notes, discharge documents, environmental/infection control rounds, and monthly fire drills.
- Teaches/educates residents on basic living skills, kitchen/fire safety, preparation for weather emergencies.
- Assists/attends to physical maintenance/cleanliness of facility, monitors supplies.
- Completes maintenance requests, fire extinguisher checks, weekly bedroom/bath or apartment inspections.
- Facilitates community meetings, social activities/groups.
- Supports supervisor.
- Informs supervisor of unusual situations/behaviors, completes incident reporting, communication log entries/shift report notes.
- Transports residents as needed.
- Communicates with treatment team.
- Complies with AHCA regulations/mandates.
- Reports change in condition to appropriate staff for intervention or hospitalization.
- Responds to emergencies according to program procedures.
- Provides direct monitoring/visual contact for residents deemed a risk to self/others.
- At group homes, monitors food inventory, prepares/serves meals per menu, proper food handling, documents substitutions.
- Conducts chart reviews for compliance.
Requirements:
- Basic cooking skills.
- FL Driver's License (Coverage requires drivers to be 21 years old with 2 years driving)
- Experience (drivers over 69 may require a Driver’s Road test.)
- BLS (within 60 days)
- First Aid (within 60 days)
Education:
- High School or Equivalent
