- On-Call Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the timely preparation and distribution of sterile instrumentation and case carts for surgical procedures.
- Identify training needs for department staff and develop education programs to enhance technical knowledge.
- Collaborate with the department manager to design and implement new systems and programs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and competency assessments for Sterile Processing Department staff.
- Foster open communication among department members to ensure high-quality end products.
- Develop and maintain proactive quality assurance programs.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the department manager.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to department team members.
Requirements:
- Sterile Processing Certification
- CBSPD Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist
