- Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 2:30PM
- Weekend Work: Occasional
- On Call: Yes
Title: Sterile Processing Operations Coordinator
- Ensures the timely and efficient completion of instrumentation and case carts for use in the O.R. and C.V.O.R. by monitoring the daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department.
- Identifies orientation and education needs of staff.
- Assists in designing and developing programs to promote education and enhance their technical knowledge.
- Assists the department manager with the development and implementation of new programs and systems.
- Screens candidates for replacement positions and participates in the completion of annual performance and competency evaluations.
- Promotes communication and collaboration among staff to enhance end products provided to areas serviced.
- Responsible for a pro-active quality programs, reporting of quality plan, goals and monitors for compliance.
- Assumes responsibility for the department in the absence of the manager.
- Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.
- Required specific skills also includes operational skills.

Certification & Licensure:
- Required - Sterile Processing Certification
- Required - CBSPD Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist
Education:
- High School or Equivalent
Experience:
- Preferred - Hospital Experience
