Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for animal care, ensuring that our team provides the highest quality service to our clients and their pets. This role requires a solid understanding of veterinary practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage both staff and client relationships effectively.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the veterinary practice, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of care.
  • Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
  • Oversee client communications, including appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards of practice.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and oversee inventory management for medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians on patient care protocols, including animal catheterization, laboratory procedures, and critical care management.
  • Provide guidance on pet grooming, animal husbandry, and general pet care practices to staff and clients.
  • Stay updated on veterinary terminology and advancements in animal anatomy knowledge to support team education.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a veterinary practice or related field is required; managerial experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and critical care procedures.
  • Familiarity with laboratory processes relevant to veterinary medicine.
  • Experience with equine care is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff alike.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate care for animals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
