Senior Clinical Pharmacology Lead

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Clinical Pharmacology Lead are to:

• Direct and coordinate clinical pharmacological activities for assets in the cardiovascular, renal, acute care and immunology areas;
• Generate early clinical pharmacology data in relevant patient populations to optimize development timelines and therapeutic insights;
• Develop and use clinical pharmacology strategies and tools to optimize decision-making and advance medicinal products;
• Review and approve clinical pharmacological activities and decisions, ensuring project progress;
• Interface with research functions, Clinical Development, commercial divisions, and regulatory authorities;
• Be a visionary for the Clinical Pharmacology function to provide expertise for project and clinical development teams and manage interactions with external partners;
• Build and lead a team of clinical pharmacology experts, defining development plans and go/no-go decisions;
• Oversee global clinical pharmacological activities and ensure clinical pharmacology content in study protocols and development plans.
  
  

Who You Are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

• PhD, MD, PharmD or MD/PhD with a strong scientific background and experience in Clinical Pharmacology;
• Long-term experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and academic R&D;
• Ability to review and approve clinical pharmacology responsibilities and interpret clinical data;
• Expert in drug development with a strong record in drug discovery and development;
• Proven understanding of clinical development complexities from preclinical data to regulatory approval;
• Proven successful leadership of high-performance teams;
• Strategic thinker with a strong will for quick and agile implementation, and a proven entrepreneurial mindset.
