Bayer United Engineering Consultants is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern (EI) to join our dynamic Roadway Group in our Tampa, FL office. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience, establish valuable client relationships, and learn the entire project lifecycle—from conception to completion.
What You’ll Do
- Project Support & Analysis :
Assist with roadway analysis and the preparation of roadway construction plans.
Coordinate and gain a comprehensive understanding of various design components including drainage, structures, signing and pavement marking, signalization, lighting, and utility work.
Prepare cost estimates to support project budgeting.
Work on projects ranging from major roadway reconstruction and milling / resurfacing to minor design projects such as sidewalks and trails.
Who You Are
Hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering with 0-4 years of experience.
Proactive and driven, with a commitment to quality.
Experience and familiarity with Open Roads Designer (ORD) is a plus, but not required—training in ORD and 3D modeling will be provided.
