Job Title: Crew Member Lead
The primary responsibilities of this role, Lead Crew Member (Williamsburg, Iowa), are:
- Self-motivated, performs with minimal to no supervision;
- Positively influences workflows and site initiatives for crew members and seasonal employees towards Key Performance Indicators;
- Provides daily direction to crew members and seasonal employees;
- Competent in safety and quality programs;
- Trainer for new employees (bilingual) and peers in safety, quality, site operations, and equipment;
- Completes all required audits or inspections timely and reports any issues as needed;
- Performs high-quality work with minimal to no errors or re-work, safely;
- Reports safety and quality incidents in a timely manner to supervisors.
Key Responsibilities Continued
• Operate and train team members on work area equipment, which may include but is not limited to tractors, harvesters, shellers, sprayers, counters, flex fillers, sewing machines, and irrigation equipment, as applicable;
• Proficient in current technologies – Collect data, enter data, and train other team members;
• Understands work area data. Can identify and address data issues/discrepancies;
• Responsible for pedigree system access and data input;
• Lead or assist in other projects and duties as required or assigned.
Ability to learn applicable technology, to include (but not limited to) handheld devices and desktop computers;
Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) with ability to meet overtime demands including occasional shift work, weekends, and holidays;
Willing and able to work in a variety of areas including the seed processing facility, fields, and/or warehouse environment. This can include frequent work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions;
A $0 sign-on bonus to any new Crew Member for the Williamsburg, Iowa location.
