Director of Market Access - Pull Through

Market Access delivers patient access to Bayer’s medicines by having a strong product value proposition for our customers and through innovative distribution models. We develop and constantly optimize our go to market strategies and tactics for our customers. Market Access collaborates closely with Research & Development, Sales and Marketing, and other business partners to ensure access to medicines for patients.

This role will deliver a consistent pull through process and supporting materials for Bayer US, fully operationalize pull through portal, and drive initiatives to build field capabilities in support of access communication to HCPs across the Bayer portfolio.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Director of Market Access - Pull Through, are to:

• Lead the development of consistent and optimized pull through processes, ways of working and supporting materials, across all U.S. Pharma franchises;
• Operationalize pull through portal and related resources;
• Lead development of pull-through messages and supporting materials consistent with brand strategy/positioning and obtain PRT approval;
• Drive initiatives to build field capabilities in support of access communication to HCPs in collaboration with Commercial Excellence/Sales Training;
• Partner with stakeholders to align on goals for pull through initiatives and drive measurement of results in alignment with BI colleagues;
• Develop and maintain a high-level of collaboration and integration with all cross functional teams including market access, brand marketing, field sales, sales training, field reimbursement management and market research;
• Partner with stakeholders to continuously assess field sales’ proficiency with market access pull through and use of tools/tactics as part of the daily activities of the field, engaging with sales leadership, training and marketing to support full adoption of pull-through into the selling model;
• Support organizational planning in anticipation of new product launches to ensure pull through tools and resources are available at launch and throughout the launch phase;
• Foster best practice sharing across pull through initiatives/franchises.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of related work experience in pharma, biotech, or healthcare industry required (or Master’s degree with at least 7 years of experience or PharmD with at least seven years of experience);
• Pharma / biotech / healthcare industry marketing experience with at least 1 year of market access experience;
• Experience building pull through programs;
• Ability to manage large-scale projects, estimate project costs and manage projects within budget;
• Ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships at the executive level and across business functions, as well as with external business partners;
