Job Summary
The CSA Department is seeking a skilled individual to join our team and contribute to the design and support of various projects within the Civil, Structural, and Architectural realm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing concrete and steel structures, creating construction documents, collaborating with external engineers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. By focusing on ease of construction, reliability, and structural integrity while considering cost and schedule constraints, you will play a crucial role in supporting our site, production plants, and projects.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and design structural steel for equipment support
- Provide calculated lifting assistance for various equipment types
- Create CSA design packages for project distribution
- Verify field conditions and design capabilities
- Develop construction documents using ACAD and 3D modeling in ACAD Plant3D
- Design foundations, steel supports, piping support, or structures
- Evaluate underground drawings for permitting processes
- Generate permit drawings for regulatory bodies
- Manage vendor drawings and ensure compliance with standards
- Conduct field surveys for installation elevations
Skills
- Strong understanding of concrete and rebar details
- Proficiency in structural design principles and regulatory requirements
- Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Navisworks
- Field work experience in a chemical plant or processing industry
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of college or High School graduate with 5 years of CSA design experience
Preferences:
- Ability to customize AutoCAD components is a bonus
- Experience with AutoCAD Vault (ProjectWise also acceptable), Bluebeam, Leica software, and BIM360
- Strong 3D modeling experience
