The primary responsibilities of this role are to :
- Conduct research on projects selected through innovation pipeline innitiative;
- Contribute to experimental design and data analysis in collaboration with other scientists;
- Document research plan, methods, results and data analysis;
- Prepare and communicate reports and summaries in written and / or verbal form to manager and other stakeholders;
- Follow established operational standards including best practices, safety protocols and compliance policies;
- Prioritize and coordinate work within a larger team and across functional groups;
- Connect with key stakeholder and technical experts and contribute to innovation and Intellectual property in the team and Crop Science R&D.
- WHO YOU ARE
- Enrolled within a university in the US, pursuing a MS or PhD degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field;
- Ability to design, plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results;
- Detail oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively;
- Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Passion and creativity for solving problems;
- Ability to expand knowledge base through continuous learning;
- Experience with molecular biology, cloning, gene editing, plant tissue culture, sequence analysis, field / greenhouse work, insects, and / or gene expression.
