YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vegetable Production Research Associate is part of the Crop Squad in the Vegetable SPI Unit and is expected to own and support execution of day-to-day field activities such as data collection, field management and follow up seasonal worker activity.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Vegetable Production Research Associate, are to :
- Be responsible for timely and independently organize logistics around field trials, manage the trials in the field, accurate note taking, harvesting, finalize field trials;
- Assist in the recruitment and responsible for supervising, training, and developing team seasonal personnel;
- Participate in scientific discussions and technical discussions where needed.
- Support the Production Research Scientist in results analysis summarized in timely written and verbal reports (if applicable and when looking at development to scientists);
- Utilize of research equipment (lab and field) combined with mobile device for data collecting and note taking and training PR Assistants and seasonal workers in their use;
- Actively promote best practices and standard operating procedures to all employees;
- Support in identifying, developing, and maintaining QMS document needs within job responsibilities. Actively ensuring the maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Maintain PR QMS updated;
- Understand and comply with all country and company laws and regulation (Environmental Safety and Health, Stewardship, Quality, ISO, etc.).
