Description

Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to) :

  • Using computer applications
  • Answering telephones
  • Updating and filing client medical records
  • Coding and filling out insurance forms
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Arranging for hospital and laboratory services
  • Handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping
  • Data entry

Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to) :

  • Taking medical histories
  • Explaining treatment procedures to clients and staff
  • Performing basic laboratory tests
  • Instructing clients about medication and special diets
  • Preparing and administering medications as directed
  • Drawing blood
  • Removing sutures and changing dressings
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
  • Taking vital signs

    • Requirements

    MEDICATION AIDE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • Completion of training and competency program approved by the State of Texas and holds a current Medication Aide Certificate from the State of Texas.
  • Completion of training and competency program approved by Bayes Achievement Center.
  • Preferred 2 or more years of experience
