What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Cook position at Bayfield County?
Serve as food service assistant for the Bayfield County Jail. Prepare food for inmates. This position is scheduled 1040 hours per year, an average of 20 hours per week. Hours will vary, typically 2 days one week and 3 days the next. Work hours are generally between 9am and 5pm. Must be able to work some weekends and some holidays. This position is eligible for pro-rated benefits including paid sick leave, vacation, holidays. Voluntary benefits include dental, vision and accident insurances.a. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage areas and walk-in coolers.
b. Prepare meals as identified by the menu plan and for the special needs inmate population.
c. Maintain records of kitchen operations.
d. Assist Lead Cook in ordering food service supplies from vendors. Maintain adequate supply level.High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Three or more years experience in food service.
Preferable experience in quantity food service for large groups.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift mild to moderate loads, up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, while preparing food.
