Description
We are seeking a dedicated professional to take ownership of capacity and resource planning, with a focus on reporting and strategic oversight. This individual will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on capacity planning, particularly for IT projects. Their primary responsibilities will include forecasting resource needs for upcoming projects, ensuring IT leaders complete capacity assessments when submitting project approval requests, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the IT domain and a strong background in Strategic Portfolio Management within ServiceNow. This role requires a strategic mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with IT leadership to optimize resource allocation and project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration or information systems preferred
- At least three (3) years’ experience with portfolio and/or business technology management.
- Two (2) years' experience in use of data visualization tools such as Excel and MSBI.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks such as Waterfall, SAFe, and agile principles.
- Proven leadership experience including knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.
- SAFe or Lean Portfolio Management certifications preferred
- Two years experience using roadmaps, portfolio financial benefits, and capacity planning is preferred.
- Experience with SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) within ServiceNow
