The Bayfront Inn is looking for a reliable and friendly Bartender our team at The Bambu Tropical Bar and Grille!
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers, creating a positive and engaging atmosphere, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Bartenders are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
1. Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
2. Communicating with Back of House, ensuring both front of house and back of house are on the same page in regard to guest orders, allergies, and time management.
3. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
4. Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
5. Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
6. Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all money.
7. Handle customer concerns or complaints with patience and professionalism, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
8. Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
9. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
10. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficient in POS systems, including Aloha and Micros
- Strong customer service and bartending skills
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- Experience in fine dining and banquet service
- Excellent time management and sales abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Background in food service and restaurant operations
