Job Description :

• Perform direct patient cardiac diagnostic testing procedures with the appropriate level of skill, in a timely and dependable manner consistent with current standards of care and departmental policies and procedures.
• Provide age-specific care to patients across all age groups, including neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Serve as a professional resource to physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital staff.
• Accurately perform all echocardiogram studies ordered by physicians, including, but not limited to, Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress, and pharmacological echocardiography.
• Accurately perform other cardiac diagnostic studies as assigned, including but not limited to EKG, Holter preparation, monitoring, and analysis, and Cardiac stress tests.
• Correctly utilize mechanical devices to provide the best diagnostic information to cardiology physicians, including echocardiographs, cardiac stress systems, electrocardiographs, Holter monitors, and computer analysis.
• Accurately access hospital information systems for scheduling, processing, and correct charging of all studies.
• Implement appropriate infection control practices and demonstrate a working knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.
• Interact with students from contracted colleges and universities, providing preceptorship and clinical guidance as per contracted agreements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
