About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Nursing Care Support Specialist to join our team at Bayhealth. As a Collegiate Nursing Care Technician, you will provide critical support to our nursing staff, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care.
You will work closely with Registered Nurses, performing duties such as vital signs, blood glucose testing, hygiene, assistance with ADL's, and comfort measures. You will also assist with non-sterile dressing changes, wound irrigation, foley catheter irrigation, application of ace wraps, IV access removal, bladder scans, EKG's, and telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the nursing team by providing direct patient care and assisting with various clinical tasks.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintains accurate records and reports.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, you must be actively enrolled as an ADN or BSN Nursing Student who has completed one rotation of medical surgical clinical in acute care setting. You must also hold Basic Life Support certification.
