SALARY RANGE: 22.09 - 33.47HOURLY
General Summary:
Collaborates with Cancer Institute Manager to coordinate community outreach events with community cancer organizations and businesses. Responsible for planning, organization and implementation of Bayhealth Cancer Institute community outreach events.
Responsibilities:
1. Community Outreach and Event Planning: Under the direction of the Cancer Institute Manager and defined by the Community Outreach Plan, schedule and provide logistical support of community screening, cancer prevention, and speaking engagements and registration of each attendee. Provides logistical support and coordination of Bayhealth Cancer Institute’s major events, including, but not limited to Go Pink!, Runway of Hope. Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners and work to establish new connections within the community.
2. Community Education: Conducts educational sessions to teach basics of Cancer Prevention and control. Identify opportunities to conduct outreach and education to ethnic and racial minorities and general public.
3. Post Event Follow up: Ensures all event attendees have appropriate follow up scheduled, including determining eligibility for future screening offerings. Managing screening vouchers and invoicing.
4. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and summarize data and outcomes from outreach events as identified by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer standards requirements.
5. Report Writing / Preparation: Provide administrative support by performing a variety of duties such as preparing documents, reports and presentations. Compiles data for reports as requested. Assist with grant research and grant report preparation.
6. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Credential(s): ;
- Experience: Required: 2 years in community outreach or administrative.
Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor Degree in Communications; Bachelor Degree in Business Administration; Bachelor Degree in Marketing; Bachelor Degree in Related field
- Credential(s):
- Experience: Preferred: 4 years experience in planning and execution of community based programs for a non-profit or healthcare organization. Bilingual
