About the Job
The Mammography Technologist will work under the direction of the Site Manager and Mammography Supervisor to perform general mammography procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare procedure rooms and patients for studies, adhering to established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and address any concerns they may have.
- Operate mammography imaging equipment according to established guidelines, ensuring accurate and clear images.
- Contribute to the quality assurance program, implementing changes as necessary.
- Analyze pending work reports to identify any issues or errors and take corrective action.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked workspace, reporting low supplies to management.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate in Radiologic Technology
- Current registration as a Radiography Technologist
- Registration as a Mammography Technologist within 18 months
- Basic Life Support certification
Desirable Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Registration as a Mammography Technologist
- Prior experience in mammography
