Status : Full Time 72 Hours
Shift : Days
SALARY RANGE : 112,900.32 - 188,042.40YEARLY
General Summary :
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Wellness Center. Provides supervision to the profession and supportive staff of the Center. Acts as a liaison between Bayhealth Medical Center and District Administration. Interacts in a collegial manner with the school nurse and guidance counselors. Provides direct patient care as the unit's Nurse Practitioner according to established protocols, policies, procedures and accepted standards of care. Maintains and reports quality improvements systems. (Eligible for flexible work arrangement)
Responsibilities :
1. Responsible for operation of assigned Wellness Center; oversees staff.
2. Coordinates health and wellness education programs annually.
3. Coordinates sports physicals, immunizations, and monitors student enrollment for assigned Center.
4. Evaluates and interprets physical findings and refers or manages the patient as condition or protocol indicates.
5. Manages financial performance / budget of assigned Center; seeks and / or completes grant projects in which the Center may be participating.
6. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience :
Education : Master Degree Nursing
Credential(s) : Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner; Basic Life Support; Nurse Practitioner
Experience : Required : 4 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience :
Education : Doctorate Degree Nursing
Credential(s) : Certified Diabetes Educator; Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification; Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner; Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Experience : Preferred : 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner. 2 years’ experience in a management position with experience in employee relations and evaluations, with fiscal responsibilities. Public Health experience and experience within a school system.
