Location: Kent Campus Hospital - Dover, Delaware
Status: Full Time 36 Hours Per Week- Multiple Shifts Available!
Registered Nurse - Patient Care RN
As central and southern Delaware’s largest healthcare system, Bayhealth facilities include Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus and Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus, a freestanding Emergency Department in Smyrna, an Emergency and Urgent Care Center, Total Care in Milton, as well as numerous satellite facilities.
We are looking for Registered Nurses of all experiences to provide professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures and nursing philosophy.
PAY:
$34.27 - $50.00 Depends on Experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
● Provide direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting.
● Counsel and educate patients and their care partner on treatment plans.
● Consult with physicians to decide on best treatment decisions when appropriate
● Performs nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
● Provides delegation to unlicensed assistive staff and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) staff
● Demonstrates standards of excellence which includes practicing nursing with core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork and integrity.
● Participates in decision making and takes actions based on ethical principles. (only for RN evaluation)
● Provides timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL:
● Nursing Diploma
● Credential Registered Nurse - Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program/university
● Basic Life Support
ACLS / PALS may be required per manager’s direction and timeframe *Commit to seeking specialty certification within time frame as indicated during interview
