GENERAL SUMMARY:
Summary:
Under the direction of the Allied Health Educator, the Patient Care Tech Intern will complete the required phlebotomy curriculum which includes approximately six weeks of clinical instruction, 100 successful blood specimen collections, EMR training, as well as BLS within the specified timeframe. At the successful completion of the internship, the Patient Care Tech Intern will advance to the Patient Care Tech I position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Abides by all infection prevention polices and OSHA regulations. 7. Receives a passing on final evaluation. 8. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
