Bayhealth's Kent Campus Hospital is recruiting a Collegiate Nursing Care Technician to join our nursing team and support the growth and development of student nurses.
About the Position
This full-time role offers a unique chance for students to gain practical experience in an acute care environment, enhancing their preparation for a career as a professional nurse.
Key Accountabilities
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses to ensure seamless patient care, including vital signs, blood glucose testing, and daily living assistance.
- Carry out tasks under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, such as dressing changes and wound care.
- Communicate critical patient information to the nursing team in a timely manner.
- Support other nursing staff and ancillary departments as required.
Qualification Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited registered nurse program and have completed at least one semester of medical-surgical clinical rotation.
- Hold Basic Life Support certification.
- Preferred: Experience providing basic care to patients in a clinical setting.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
