Description:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer , the Director of Home Services and Transportation is responsible for managing and coordinating home services operations, directing and providing support to private duty home services clients in their place of residence. Responsibilities include overseeing staff, managing budgets, developing policies and procedures, planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the Home Services program in accordance with accepted home services practices, any related state guidelines and the policies and procedures of the organization. As Director of Transportation Services, this individual will oversee transportation operations within Bayley Senior Care. This includes directing the transportation operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, customer service, and cost control. This individual will develop processes and policies to ensure transportation operations meets business objectives and complies with industry standards and local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of private duty home care service standards.
  • Completes schedule for the home services department.
  • Collects availability slips from PRN employees
  • Meets with new hires, instructs them on scheduling procedures, arranges orientation, and sets up work schedules
  • Assists with development of short and long-range goals and keeps supervisor apprised through report on program development and operations.
  • Ensures confidentiality of all medical records and personnel files in accordance with agency and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Guarantees that all services, functions and employee practices are maintained in accordance with Affirmative Action policies and laws.
  • Assist in all appropriate areas including customer service satisfaction and that program benchmarks against other organizations as appropriate.
  • Complies with all appropriate standards and practices relative to infection control and safety.
  • Provides on-call services as needed.
  • Establishes a plan of care for each client admitted to the program and oversees the care provided.
  • Guarantees that Bayley Home Services runs in accordance with Bayley Home Services policies and in tandem with the organization’s human resource/personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assist with ongoing supervision and performance evaluations for all employees.
  • Assists with staff development and education.
  • Ensures appropriate communication with all personnel through staff and departmental meetings as well as written and oral communications.
  • Assist with managing the Home Services office on a day-to-day basis for maximum efficiency of all staff.
  • Ensures that all personnel and clinical records are maintained in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Ensures that services are provided in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to advancing home and community-based services and Bayley Home Services.
  • Keeps personnel informed of changes that affect them.
  • Answers correspondence, email and voicemail appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with employees, community health, welfare and social agencies, and reaches out to the community to maintain existing resources while developing new ones to meet patient and family needs.
  • Must possess the personal characteristics of professionalism and commitment to high standards with a strong work ethic, confidence, creativity, innovation, integrity and stability.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma required, Bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, business, health administration, or related field preferred
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working condition and have automobile insurance in accordance with Ohio laws
  • Previous scheduling experience in a medical facility or home services
  • 2 - 5 years of supervisory experience preferred
