What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Assistant Vice Provost for Career Management to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the Office of the Provost. This position will report to the Vice Provost for Institutional Research and Professional Education.
A Master’s Degree and eight years of relevant work experience is required. A Doctoral Degree and ten years or more of relevant work experience is preferred.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Provide strategic leadership for the team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the university’s career center in a manner that sets Baylor University apart from its peers
- Initiating, developing, and maintaining university partnerships with industry leaders and employers as well as students, faculty, Deans, staff, alumni and key stakeholders to facilitate student career success
- Create, cultivate, execute, and maintain programs that strategically and tactically support student career readiness, personal and professional development, job, internship and professional placement and student retention through high impact practices and services
- Design, develop and communicate career initiatives that provide transparent and timely career outcome information for all university stakeholders
- Work with development and corporate relations to support the university goals and provide growth to the Career Center’s budget
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
