What We Are Looking For
The Director of LHSON Simulation is responsible for managing the operations of the clinical simulation building activities including labs and simulation. The Director organizes and manages activities, staff, equipment and technology used in the educational activities within the Clinical Simulation Building (CSB) and collaborates in various internal and external relationships. The duties of this position are broad in scope, requiring strong organizational, communication and instructional skills. The Director of Simulation reports to the Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Innovation.
A Master’s degree and three years of relevant work experience is required. A Master’s degree and five years of relevant work experience is preferred.

What You Will Do
- Oversees the daily operations of Clinical Simulation
- Maintain current knowledge of existing and emerging simulation technologies, practices, and clinical applications
- Comply with current accepted standards of practice in simulation
- Perform needs’ assessment and acquisition of capital equipment and supplies for the CSB
- Apply CQI methodologies to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of the CSB
- Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures, quality and safety standards
- Facilitate simulation utilization and growth within the School of Nursing
- Assists in the professional development of staff and faculty in simulation best practices
- Collaborates with LHSON leadership on departmental goals and implementation of the strategic plan
- Supports simulation research
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all users of the CSB including students, staff, faculty, and external stakeholders and visitors
- Ensures clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintains awareness of industry standards and aids in identifying needs to ensure standards are met
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
