What We Are Looking For
The Lab Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of all matters related to physical plant operations, including ensuring the availability and setup of equipment and supplies for the Occupational Therapy (OT) Department, Physical Therapy (PT) Department and the Physician Assistant (PA) Studies Program. The role ensures that technology and resources are accessible to support faculty, staff, and students effectively. Assists the Director of Operations in overseeing facilities and materials to ensure a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors during lab immersion experiences and other onsite events. This role involves significant interaction with students, faculty, staff, and both internal and external constituents to coordinate and manage facilities and materials for onsite immersive learning experiences. The position requires extensive on-campus presence, with availability to work weekends and holidays as dictated by the schedule. Travel is also a required aspect of this role. This role requires the ability to lift and/or move heavy equipment.
An associate's degree and three (3) years logistics and administrative experience are required. A bachelor's degree and five (5) years logistics and administrative experience in higher education is preferred. A combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of the required degree and/or years of experience.

What You Will Do
- Oversee the strategic scheduling, preparation, and maintenance of facilities and resources to optimize the delivery of onsite immersive and simulation learning experiences.
- Direct the implementation and management of an efficient inventory control system for departmental equipment and supplies, including evaluating and recommending procurement, replenishment, and replacement strategies.
- Design and enforce inventory control protocols in alignment with departmental and institutional policies, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of student-focused events such as orientation, commencement, and graduation activities.
- Develop and enforce procedures to uphold university safety policies, fostering a culture of safety and compliance among faculty, staff, and students.
- Ensure the availability and readiness of essential equipment and supplies to support students during didactic instruction, fieldwork, and doctoral capstone activities.
- Coordinate and optimize lab access during immersion experiences, ensuring seamless support for faculty, staff, and students across OT, PA, and PT.
- Cultivate and sustain collaborative partnerships with internal departments and external organizations to enhance laboratory operations and promote program excellence.
- Supervise the preventative maintenance schedule for all laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring operational continuity and safety.
- Collaborate with leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of laboratory policies and procedures to align with best practices and program goals.
- Serve as a key representative for OT, PA, and PT to Baylor University Operations, driving collaboration with Facilities, Institutional Events, and Library and Academic Technology Services for streamlined support and coordination.
- Attend OT and PT Department faculty and staff meetings as appropriate.
- Participate in OT and PT Department community service projects as time permits.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
- Ability to comply with University policies.
