What We're Looking For
This position will support the mission of Baylor University by providing a high level of support, in a fast-paced environment, to the Assistant Vice President for Principal Gifts and a designated group of development officers to help ensure that meetings, correspondence, and other interactions with colleagues, donors, and prospective donors are productive and result in principal/major gift commitments.
A bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. Five or more years of experience are preferred.
Additional experience will be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
A hybrid work arrangement will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
- Support and provide administrative management to the Assistant Vice President for Principal Gifts and other Development Officers on the Principal Gifts and Athletics Major Gifts team with all Vision items, including prospect management (moves management, portfolio clean up) goal tracking, entering contacts, and pulling reports.
- Participate in solicitation meetings and follow ups.
- Responsible for creating gift transmittals for all manner of gifts, including cash, stock and wire transfers and making sure they are tagged to go into the correct account.
- Support in developing communications and presentations as well as planning and executing both internal and external meetings.
- Provide, as needed on behalf of the Development Officers, concierge-level support to major donors to ensure exceptional donor experiences, resulting in continued and increased financial support to Baylor University.
- Assist Development Officers with other programs including requesting gift agreements from the GAL, searching OnBase for any past documentation and turning in HelpDesk tickets for Prospect Management related issues.
- Assist a designated group of Development Officers by helping make travel arrangements; prepare itineraries and compile other materials for these meetings.
- Assist with expense reports after travel as needed.
- Collaborate with senior level administrative associates and assistants in coordinating the day-to-day functions of the division; this includes working closely with and being available as a back-up for the Executive Assistant to the VP of Advancement.
- Regarding the work of Principal Gifts/Athletics, there will be a high level of coordination with the Executive Assistant to the VP of Advancement in the coordination of the VP of Advancement and the University President's calendar related to high level donor meetings and engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with campus partners to collaborate on fundraising activity and shared goals.
- Serve as primary fundraising liaison between University Advancement and Baylor Athletics to facilitate fundraising collaboration between the two divisions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
- Ability to comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
