What We Are Looking For
This position specifically supports the University mission by providing both direct and indirect mental health related services to Baylor students and BUCC trainees. The position also supports the functioning of BUCC as a whole, and thereby the service of the department to the wider university. Through service directly to students and by fostering the functioning of BUCC, this position fosters mental health and wholeness for BU students.
If applying as a Post-Doctoral Fellow/Staff Psychologist, a Doctoral degree is required. Applicant must be licensed as a psychologist in Texas or be license eligible. Less than one year of experience will be considered. Two years of experience is preferred.
If applying as a Staff Clinician, a Master’s degree is required. Applicant must currently hold a fully independent license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC. Less than one year of experience will be considered. Two years of experience is preferred.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Provide individual, couples and group therapy, crisis intervention, consultation, and
- appropriate referrals as needed
- Supervise mental health trainees and/or offer trainings and workshops
- Maintain adequate counseling records and files, including for supervision provided
- Provide prevention and educational outreach programs for student and staff
- Create trainings and educational materials for trainees, staff, and students
- Participate in staff meetings and gatherings
- Serve on committees, work teams, and task forces as needed
- Participate on committees in the Division of Student Life
- Participate in staff wide trainings and case consultations
- Pursue professional development to develop expertise in areas useful to work with Baylor students
- Pursue full licensure, including applications and exams (Post-Doctoral Fellows only)
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
