JOB SUMMARY
Accounting Assistant 2 helps in the collection, preparation, recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial data. Works under limited supervision. Healthcare experience is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Collects needed data from various departments by checking appropriate sources as necessary.
- Follows up with departments in a professional way to obtain missing data or clarify questions as needed.
- Verifies that helping documentation and balances are accurate using appropriate tools and procedures.
- Accurately enters data into appropriate accounting systems as required.
- Prepares reports and / or correspondence that is clear, concise, accurate and appropriate for desired need.
- Compiles accounting reports, checks for accuracy, and researches and resolves discrepancies as needed.
- Responds to inquiries and requests from internal and external customers to give needed information.
- Responds in a clear, concise and professional way as needed.
- Documents transactions thoroughly
- Maintains effective filing system for prompt retrieval of data for issue resolution and data storage.
