The Role of an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
The OR RN provides nursing care and service during surgery cases, positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies, and work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required by the center
- A minimum of 1 year experience working as a OR RN
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
