Responsibilities
Under general supervision schedules appointments for patients medical procedures tests and studies ordered by the physician.
Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.- Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
- Schedule tests procedures and referral appointments.
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests
- Collect insurance information and patient personal data.
- May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Licensure Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience:
- 2 years related experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office software.
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
- Demonstrate positive professional customer service in all patient staff and visitor contacts.
- A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
Pay Range
$14.82 - $20.38 /hour
Salary : $15 - $20
