Job Description
\Entities include assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. As a Substance Use Counselor, you will conduct individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies.\Counselors evaluate patients' progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to help patients achieve overall outcomes. Additional responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling services, direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals, and coordinating all services throughout treatment.
\Counselors facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan. They complete bio-psychosocial assessments, develop aftercare plans and discharge plans, and ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services in a trauma-informed manner.
\Qualifications
\\. Responsibilities include possessing an Ohio CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, or LICDC. Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is preferred. A positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population is necessary. Understanding of an EMR system is required, as well as a satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.\Benefits
