Dispensing Nurse Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled licensed practical nurse to join our team as a dispensing nurse. As a dispensing nurse, you will work in partnership with physicians and nursing supervisors to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily medication administration to patients according to program policy and medical protocols
- Manage dispensing equipment, order and receive medication, and report patient treatment information
- Operate automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and perform routine maintenance
- Ensure accurate and efficient medication dispensing processes
Qualifications:
- Possess EMR and computer proficiency
- Have experience in chemical dependency treatment
- Demonstrate self-motivation, positivity, and strong interpersonal skills
