What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Technician position at Baymont Inn and Suites?
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician / Renovation Helper to assist with daily maintenance needs and ongoing renovation projects at our hotel. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in fixing and improving property systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs: plumbing, electrical, drywall, paint, minor carpentry
- Assist with hotel renovation projects (room updates, ceiling repairs, wallpaper removal, etc.)
- Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently
- Maintain building systems and perform preventative maintenance
- Help with furniture moving, appliance installs, and material hauling
- Keep tools and workspaces organized and clean
- Identify and report safety or structural concerns to management
Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience with maintenance, construction, or general labor work
- Able to safely use power tools and ladders
- Can lift heavy items and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Takes direction well but can also work independently
- Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Available for flexible hours, including weekends if needed

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week

- 4 hour shift

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Nights as needed
- On call
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Property maintenance: 3 years (Required)
