We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in designated areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance schedules and reporting issues.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition.
- Fabricate or weld minor repairs as needed to maintain facility integrity.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively in English with team members and management regarding tasks and any issues encountered.
Skills
- Proficiency in facilities maintenance practices, including knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to read schematics.
- Experience with residential painting techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter for basic electrical troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
