Delivery Driver

Bayo Food is a local-owned business with 20 years of experience in the seafood industry, our leadership team strives to source the best product from reputable, responsible, and sustainable sources!.

We are looking for a Refri-Van Driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner and help in our production line (Repacking product).

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods from warehouse (Grand Rapids) to retail stores and distribution centers (Grand rapid, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Holland surrounding areas)
• Merchandise our freezer and clean it when is needed it.
• Lift packages up to 40 lbs.
• Assists other employees as needed.
• Exposure to extreme cold (0° or below) in a freezer/walk-in cooler environment.
• Must be a team player.
• Collect Payment.
• Help to pack some retail products
• Variable Schedule time: Monday - Friday between 20 - 25 hrs per week.

· Able to get in and out of van and drive with several stops during the day.

• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

· Experienced with GPS and other smartphone related applications

• Follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Input Documents/POD in our system for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Spanish-speaking skills preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
