Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary Enterprise Architect, collaborating with technology, product, and business leaders to align with strategic goals.
- Guide and mentor the technology architecture team to develop scalable, secure, and efficient solutions tailored for various retail systems.
- Translate business requirements into effective architectural designs through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance our technology capabilities.
- Create comprehensive architectural blueprints for retail systems, covering client-telling, POS, data management, and reporting.
- Advocate for microservices and cloud-based architectures to develop flexible, scalable, and cost-efficient omni-channel solutions.
- Lead the development of distributed applications that ensure smooth integration across retail systems.
- Design a strategy for in-store and cloud application development, prioritizing data synchronization and high availability.
- Modernize the Retail & Payments Architecture by implementing best practices and optimizing architectures for cloud and edge environments.
- Utilize your expertise in Oracle X-Store Suite to create solutions that streamline operations and enhance the customer experience.
- Develop next-generation POS systems, including mobile and tablet solutions.
- Establish a hardware and network architecture strategy to bolster POS systems and support technologies like AI / ML and augmented reality.
- Enhance store operations through optimizing in-store services and fulfillment strategies.
- Design real-time, event-driven retail systems using event-based programming principles.
- Support initiatives for no-touch checkout solutions and various payment methods.
- Facilitate process alignment between internal and external partners, including portfolios, Infosec, and vendors.
- Engage with the architecture community to share insights and updates with Tech & Engineering teams.
- Work closely with product management, business stakeholders, and IT operations to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build strong partnerships with enterprise architects and stakeholders across various functional areas.
