What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Technologist/Technician Fulltime Days (Franklin, LA) position at Bayou Bend Health System?
The Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician position is responsible for Phlebotomy, processing specimen samples in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Serology, analyzing various laboratory tests, reporting results, maintaining analyzers in various departments, quality control, and proper logging and documentation. The successful incumbent must have an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with at least 4 years’ experience (preferably night shift) or a bachelor's degree in medical technology with at least 2 years Lab experience.
Must be currently licensed in the State of Louisiana and hold a certification from ASCP for MT/MLT or AAB, MT. BLS required upon hire.
*This is a Day position 7 on and 7 off 6am-6:00pm**
