Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases.
- Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a well-organized shopping environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers alike.
- Experience in retail sales is advantageous, including knowledge of product demos.
