POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is responsible for performing various tasks related to deposit operations. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of electronic transactions, account maintenance and compliance with regulatory guidelines. The representative will support, research and resolve inquiries and assist with the development and implementation of new products and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SUPPORTING DUTIES:
- Verify the accuracy of electronic postings and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Handle daily deposit transactions, including checks, ACH, Instant Payments, NSF/reject/exception reports
- Research and resolve member inquiries regarding ACH, instant payments, draft postings, disputes, and monetary adjustments.
- Process and correct all EFT transactions transmitted daily from the Federal Reserve
- Process ACH and manual returns regarding unauthorized debits, reclamations, and fraud cases
- Process check adjustments
- Balance Check By Phone
- Verify branch check deposits, remote deposit capture, and Image Enable ATM check deposit items; perform corrections and complete daily credit deposit.
- Process assigned member account corrections
- Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for electronic/digital and Online/Mobile Banking products
- Perform routine account audits and regular data maintenance on member accounts to ensure records are accurate and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform manual adjustments to accounts when processing errors cannot be reversed electronically
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize systems and workflows
- Monitor and analyze transaction trends to identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist with mergers when applicable
- Review & work various deposit operations reports related to assigned tasks
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience: 3 years of previous experience in deposit operations or related banking experience.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of deposit products, services and regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of ACH, EFT, and check processing.
